It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raul Ricardo Pagan-Ocasio, known affectionately as "Negrito," who left this world on July 31, 2025, in Davie, Florida. Born on April 3, 1982, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Raul was a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.
Raul was a devoted father, proud of his three beautiful children: Raul Jr, Ainslie, and Aislie. His love for his children knew no bounds, and he cherished each moment spent with them. He was an amazing father, skilled in making everyday experiences joyful and memorable. Raul’s commitment to his family shone brightly, making him not just a parent but a role model who instilled values of kindness and hard work.
Those who gathered with Raul quickly learned of his vibrant personality. He was extremely funny, always ready with a joke that could light up the room, ensuring that every family or friend gathering was filled with laughter and joy. His warmth and welcoming nature made anyone feel at ease, and his generosity was unmatched; he was always there to help when someone was in need, asking for nothing in return.
Raul had a wide array of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He loved going to the beach, where the sun and waves seemed to match his passionate spirit. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing with RC cars, a pastime that sparked excitement and allowed him to share moments of fun with friends and family. He embraced life with a child-like wonder, gathering memories that would resonate in the hearts of those he left behind.
Raul is survived by his loving father, Hector Pagan; his brother, Hector Pagan Jr; and his beloved children. He is preceded in death by his cherished mother, Maria Melba Ocasio, who welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife.
A visitation will be held on August 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston in Sunrise, Florida. Following this, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where friends and family can come together to celebrate the life and legacy of Raul.
Though Raul may no longer walk among us, the footprints he left in our hearts will endure forever. Spread your wings and soar, dear Raul, knowing you are loved and missed dearly.
