Raul Rodriguez Jr. "Baretta", 65, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Raul Jr. grew up in Socorro, Texas on the farm of the Fresquez - Rodriguez family. He was an over the road long distance truck driver for 45 years. He loved being on the road and called it his vacation. He could tell you exactly how to get anywhere, roads to avoid, where to gas up, and he knew someone everywhere. He was the owner of Healthy Harvest Farm in Horizon City, Texas. He took pride in the organic vegetables that he and his wife grew, and the salsas he made with his fresh chiles.
Raul loved his family, his house pet pig Patsy Swine, his many friends, his big truck, his farm and tractor!
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Luisa V Rodriguez, his father Raul (Chito) Rodriguez, Sr., and his sister Lillian R Marquez of Socorro, Texas. He is survived by his wife Lisa Glidden, his sons Raul Rodriguez III, Joseph Rodriguez, his daughter Victoria Rodriguez, sister Rose Mary Rodriguez, brothers Gilberto Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, and Robert Rodriguez, Grandchildren Soleil, Mia, Jake, and Kailani, his wife's adult children Alexis, Lauren and Gunnar Howson and an exceptionally large extended family.
You shared that you felt your mom and dad’s presence the day before you passed so we trust that you transitioned according to the divine plan because they were present to help you cross over. You are safely home with your Heavenly Father celebrating your perfect run and the completion of your earthly Over the Road trip.
