Ravenelle Bryant, 98, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Ravenelle was witty, flamboyant, compassionate, generous, and a natural entertainer. She married the love of her life, James Patrick Bryant, in 1946, and together they built a life filled with laughter, family, and faith.

She is survived by her daughter Cara Pat Cline, her son Allan Bryant and daughter-in-law Kay Bryant; five grandchildren: Mike Cline (Deena), Kelly Cline (Debbie), Kimberley Bryant Jones, Stefanie Hill (Sam), and Michael Roberts (Gretchen); 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who cherished her vibrant spirit.

Ravenelle was preceded in death by her husband James Patrick Bryant; her parents D.Y. and Neva Lassiter; and her sisters Margueritte Hutto, Dorothy Tilley, and Jimmie Gambill.

A member of Greenhill Methodist Church, Ravenelle shared her love of music by playing the spoons at countless gatherings across the community-performing alongside Dale Cummings and the Silver Threads, Richard and Lila Wells, at TRMC Lunch and Learns, and at many nursing homes. She will forever be remembered as "The Spoon Lady," whose joyful rhythm brought smiles wherever she went.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Greenhill Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Restland Cemetery in Roxton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Greenhill Methodist Church in Ravenelle's memory.

Ravenelle's life was a song of joy and kindness-one that will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
