Ravindra Jain Obituary

Ravindra Kumar Jain ("Ravi"), age 72, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2022. He was born November 24, 1949 in Meerut, India and moved to the United States in July of 1975. He spent his professional life dedicated to the betterment of the lives of children, particularly those with special needs, as a Case Manager with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services. And he contributed outside of his work with equal vigor: from actively raising his kids and sharing the load with his wife, to loyally helping his neighbors, to joyfully spending time with his friends (while constantly making new ones). At his core he held to the values of kindness, respect, humor, and community - and was particularly tied to that in and around the University of Connecticut. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Saras (Chenu), son Atul, daughter Rupal, daughter-in-law Neha, son-in-law Danny, and three grandchildren (who he adored beyond words): Jiya, Riaan, and Aarin. Family, friends, and others whose lives our father touched are welcome to join us for a service of remembrance and farewell at the Carmon Community Funeral Home, located at 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, CT, from 10 AM onwards to 12:00 PM on Monday, September 5, 2022. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Family Support Network, 377 Hubbard Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033 or https://ctfsn.org/donations/, in lieu of flowers. And condolences may be sent to the family at www.carmonfuneralhome.com

Our most sincere condolences to Saras, Atul, Rupal and their families on the passing of their Husband, Father and Grandfather, Ravindra. We both had the good fortune and pleasure of knowing and working with Ravi for many years. Family meant so very much to Ravi, he would beam with love and pride when talking about them , which was often. They were his true treasure. Ravi was an ardent and conscientious advocate for the people with disabilities he served for so long and so well. He touched so many lives.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Ravi will be missed by many people, people who will remember him with fondness, gratitude and admiration.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Evelyn and Bob Morgan

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I remember Ravi well from my MTS days, and beyond. I ran into Ravi and Saras a few years back at the grocery store, it was so nice to see them! Ravi is leaving behind a wonderful family, my condolences to them all.
