Ravon Areleis Di'Jon Moten

Rayvon “Papa” Areleis Di’Jon Moten Jr., age 1, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.

A celebration of Rayvon’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 24th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.

Born on September 12, 2023, in Columbus, Georgia, Rayvon brought joy and happiness to his family from the very start. He had a special fondness for music, and his delightful expressions when hearing his favorite song, "If You’re Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands," will be fondly remembered. Rayvon enjoyed playing with his toy cars and was always happy with a bouncy ball in his hands, bringing smiles to those around him.

Rayvon was a loving and affectionate son, brother, and grandson, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Malika Moten of Newport, NC; sisters, Tamara Scott, Kenyia Scott, and Azarie Scott, all of Newport; along with Rayvon’s twin sister, Ray’lah Moten of Newport; and the GFL family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
