Chuck Mendenhall

I was born William Charles Mendenhall the 2nd. My dad and Ray Clinton ran around even though Ray was my dad´s uncle which makes him my great uncle. They were only a couple years apart. My dad always promised Ray he would name his first born son after him. So after several months of being the 2nd my dad changed my name to Charles "Ray" Mendenhall.
I began a friendship with Ray through a football pool he ran about 20 years ago. We had many great conversations reminiscing about all the good times he had with my dad. Ray always spoke about his beautiful daughter and his 2 grandchildren. Ray would call me and check in on my kids and the sports they played, oh how Ray loved sports. He even came to see my sister and I a couple times while he was in Florida.
Uncle Ray, you will be missed my friend. Godspeed my friend. I will miss you, but we will catch up in Heaven.
Sincerely,
Chuck "Ray" Mendenhall

Ray was one of the sweetest people I've known. He did my taxes for several years and last year he taught me how to file my own taxes. I got to see him every other Friday for many years and I am sure going to miss seeing his face. Rest In Heaven Ray. You are truly missed!
