Allen Memorial Home - EndicottRaymond "Ray" Fitzpatrick, 68, of Vestal, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Alice Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his wife, Bethany, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage, as well as his children, RJ “Junior” and Shannon “Ruthie.” He is also survived by his brothers, Vince, Brian (Mary Lin), Paul (Cheryl), and Bill; his sisters, Katie and Anne (Ray); and several nieces and nephews.
Ray valued his time with family, whether traveling to sporting events, going on vacations, or simply spending time by the pool. An avid sports fan, he was always cheering on his Ottawa Senators, Atlanta Braves, and Cleveland Browns. He was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
After his career at IBM in machine maintenance, Ray has been employed at Oryx Insurance for 26 years as a Senior Loss Control and Safety Consultant. He made many lasting friendships and truly enjoyed his job, traveling across the state to complete inspections for numerous construction companies. Ray was especially known for ensuring that everyone on site had their protective eyewear on.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Heather Foley, FNP-RNFA of UHS Plastic Surgery for her exceptional care and continued support over the years.
