Ray Irick Obituary

Ray was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement years camping, fishing, being outdoors and traveling. Ray never met a stranger and was always helping his friends and neighbors with projects or anything else they needed. He was married to his loving wife, Angela, for almost 47 years. Loving father to Justin and "Papa" to his two grandchildren, Madison and Luke, whom he adored.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Alice Irick.
He is survived by his wife Angela; son, Justin (Ashley); grandchildren, Madison and Luke Irick; sister, Carol (K.D.) Cooke; sister-in-law, Kim Hamilton; niece and nephew, Sandy Cooke and Scott (Crista) Cooke.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Bridges Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM, with Dr. Phil Young officiating. Ray will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville, TN. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, June 10 at Pleasant View Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Ray's honor to the charity of your choice.
