James Ray King, 69 of Hollywood, SC, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Born on August 16, 1955, in Charleston, SC, Ray was the son of the late Eleanor Pool Connor and the late John King.
Ray was known to be a simple man, who enjoyed the little things in life. He had a love and passion for fishing and football. He also had a love for his garden. Was always so proud of himself when his okra and tomatoes successfully grew.
In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brother, William "Billy" King.
Ray is survived by his wife, Ceryl DeLong King; daughter, Judith Morgane DeLong; and his beloved family dog, Darla Mae King.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
