Ray Victor Secara Jr.

Age 94, passed peacefully at home with family on October 22, 2025 at their home in Camarillo, CA after battling pancreatic canc

Ray was born November 8, 1930 in Madera, CA. He graduated Fresno State College in 1951 and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 stationed in Oxnard, CA. After serving he was the head lab supervisor at the Camarillo State Hospital for 28 years. Ray was happily married to Lucille Secara for 67 years and enjoyed retirement by cruising the seas with his wife and friends. Ray was also an extraordinary cross-stitcher and made beautiful latch hook rugs. Both him and Lucille love trains and were active with the L.A. Live Steamers Railroad Museum.

Ray is survived by his wife and three sons: Steve Secara and his wife Karen, Bill Secara and his wife Cindy, and Jim Secara and his wife Kitty. Ray and Lucille have three granddaughters.

Family and friends are invited to attend the service at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park located at 2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012 on November 6, 2025. Viewing from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and Funeral at the gravesite from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Reception to immediately follow 3:00-5:00 p.m.
