Raybon Smith age 88, of Lebanon, TN, passed away January 26, 2026.

He was a member of Whitsitt Chapel Baptist Church and a faithful attendee at LaGuardo Baptist Church. He was a skilled mechanic, having worked for McDowell Enterprises and retiring from Polar Refrigeration. He was an avid race fan having driven himself for John Waldron at The Nashville Fairgrounds in the 1960's. Farming was his true passion, raising cattle and cutting hay brought him great joy.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, James Leonard "Skinner" Smith and Frances Alvine Goodwin Smith; sister, Melda Faircloth; brother, AJ Smith; his 1st wife, Wanda Harper Smith and child Carl Edward Smith, whom died in a house fire in 1958; his wife of 55yrs Fredia Jean Wright Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by children, Vicky (David) Edging, Wade Smith, and Del (Julie) Smith; sisters, Wynell Rogers, and Elaine Butner; brothers, Ronnie Smith, and Delson Smith; grandchildren, Robert (Christy) Spears, Brandon (Jennifer) Spears, Joe (Jessica) Spears, Ashley Shepherd, Jesse (Chelsea) Smith, Robert Del (Logan) Smith, and Devin (Mirandy) Smith; 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday February 1, 2026 from 3:00pm-7:00pm, Monday February 2, 2026, 11:00am-12:00pm with funeral services at 12:00pm at Sellars Funeral Home Mt. Juliet, with Brother Jonathan Jennings Officiating, burial will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to LaGuardo Baptist Church Building Fund.
