I remember shooting at Camp Petty for decades, and for a number of those trips to Perry, Ray was my block officer. He was my block officer for a number of years in a row, and always had some kind words. He also knew our son Jim who was the top Drexel Small Bore and Air Marksman Drexel ever had. Ray had kind words about Jim the time I visited Navy during a match with Drexel. Ray enriched the sport of competitive small-bore shooting for people that interacted with him. The sport of small bore shooting will be diminished with Mikes passing.

It´s already been 10 days, which is hard to believe. I told Kaelyn the other day that I can deal with you passing away, it´s the fact that you´re gone forever that´s hard to deal with. You and Grandma are the only ones that send us birthday and Christmas cards, you´ve always been so consistent in everything you do. I´m going to miss the cards, the `Love, Dad´. I´ll miss talking with you on the phone weekly.
I hear your voice all the time, for as many years as I can remember I´ve repeated your words to my daughters and employees, even to myself, the instructions on how to do things the right way!! It´s rare that you were ever wrong .
Childhood was tough but adulthood was awesome! Thank you Dad for your love and support. I will miss you every day.

My name is Ken Minnick and Gunnar Anti was a very inspirational leader to me as a young Marine. We served together during Vietnam at Nam Phong. I was just a very young bright eyed Corporal at the time and he was my OIC. He rotated back to the U. S. before me and as luck would have it I followed him to Quantico, VA where I worked for him again during my last year on active duty. I was the only enlisted Marine invited to his home for a Christmas party in 1974 along with my wife, so Gunnar Anti liked me for some reason. I kind of followed in his footsteps a bit as a CWO in a USMC Reserve Infantry Unit after I left active duty. Gunnar Anti was feared by some, but respected by all who knew him. I will never forget him just like I will never forget my Drill Instructor´s. I truly regret that I failed to keep in contact with him after I left active duty. I can still remember how proud he was of his kids and their achievements in shooting and other activities. Not certain of this, but I believe my daughter and son-in-law (both Marines) were attending Annapolis during his tenure at USNA. My condolences to all his family members, friends, and associates. Fair winds and following seas Gunnar.
Semper Fidelis,
