Raymond Briggs Obituary
Funeral services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Raymond Russell, the son of Sara Tiedemann and Chad Briggs, was born October 5, 2000, in Rochester. Raymond was the most genuine and caring man, he would do anything for anyone he cared about. He loved being outside, spending time with friends and family, and took great pride in helping others feel better by cracking his priceless jokes. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed forever. Raymond graduated in 2019 from Stewartville high school.
He is survived by his parents, Sara Tiedemann (and Levii Radloff) of Kilkenny and Chad Briggs of Rochester, special family friend, Sandy Hanenberger of Rochester; siblings, Mallory Briggs of Rochester, Joseph Briggs of Rochester, Shelby Briggs of Kilkenny, Aidynn Steward of Rochester, Savannah Chase of Holman, WI; grandmas, Sandy Tiedemann of Owatonna and Mary (and John) Muldoon of Montgomery; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandma, Diana Lynn Briggs, grandpa, Russell Tiedemann and great grandparents, Don and Gen Marsh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

How sad to hear of Mr. Briggs' passing. Not a visit goes by without my granddaughters asking to watch The Snowman right before their bedtime. Thank you for bringing us much joy, magic, imagination and happiness. I'm certain you and your beloved Snowman are "walking in the air".

It is the end.
The snowman has finally melted.
What an honour it has been to grow up under the wing of your stories.
I'm sad today.
And tomorrow the world will still be turning and another day will begin. Your stories taught us all about endings and this is yours.
So goodnight to you Mr Raymond Briggs. The honour truly was ours.
