Raymond J. Brooks, Jr.
Raymond "Joe" Brooks, Jr. "Animal" age 68, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Kansas City Missouri Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Celebration of Life services will be from 1 to 4 pm, Saturday, Nov. 2, at Christ First Ministries at 229 N. Neconi Ave. Bonner Springs, KS 66012. The family suggests memorial contributions to assist with funeral expenses. Joe was born on May 16, 1956 in Omaha, NE. He served four years as a U.S. Marine. He spent most of his working career as an Over-The-Road Truck Driver retiring after 32 years with Hills Brothers Trucking.
Joe is survived by his wife of 38 years (together for 41) Paula Brooks of the home and three children Jody Lynn Rise, Crystal Brooke Carnes and Jennifer Maurine Beck. His father "Pud" VonTersch, sister Ruth Brooks, his little brother and best friend Tom Brooks and brother Mike Brooks. As well as 14 grandchildren William, Jacob, Katelyn, Jacob, Joey, Daisy, Kirsten, Devin, Travis, Bella, Zeke, Cadence, Hope and Gaby.
