Raymond Carter Obituary

Raymond Lee Carter, 76, of Blountville, TN, entered into rest on Saturday September 10, 2022 at Ballad Hospice House.
He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and retired from Kingsport Press after over 30 years of service in the Press room.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mattie Carter; daughter, Barbara Ann Carter; sister, Bernice Ellis; and his brother, Jay H. Carter.
Raymond is survived by his sister, Marie Robinson and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 pm on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport, TN.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 13 at Gunnings Cemetery, Blountville, TN with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:50 am. at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Carter family.
