On Thursday, February 5, 2026 Raymond Yuk Art Chow, beloved husband of Sherry Lisa Pui Yung Chow of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 75 years.
Raymond was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was caring for the people he loved. Forever at home in the kitchen, he expressed his affection through food-crafting generous, multi course Cantonese meals and going all out for every celebration. His creativity extended far beyond cooking; Raymond had an ingenuitive mind and a natural talent for fixing things, whether he was tinkering with old cars or reaching for his tools to solve any problem that came his way. He adored his four granddaughters, for whom the word “no” simply didn’t exist. Raymond loved to indulge them. Though often a humble man of few words, his playful alter ego emerged whenever he took on the role of Black Jack 21 dealer at family gatherings. His booming laughter and good natured heckling would fill the house, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Raymond will be lovingly remembered for his quiet strength, his generosity, and the warmth he brought to every room-especially when he was cooking for the people he held dear.
Besides his loving wife Sherry, Raymond is survived by his children Jason Chow, Tammy Chow (Adam Hunter), Justin Chow, Melissa Chow (Dustin Doell) all of Calgary; and four grandchildren Jasmine Chow, Jade Chow, Zoe Hunter, Abigail Hunter all of Calgary.
Raymond is predeceased by his older brother Benjamin Chow and sister Jeanie Wong.
A Funeral Service will be held for Raymond at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Pierson's Funeral Service, 4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. Burial will follow at Prairie Sky Cemetery, 12350 - 84 Street SE, Calgary, Alberta.
