Cook, Raymond, 73 of Largo, Florida passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2026. Ray was born in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer in HVAC and Boiler Mechanical Operations at Phelps Memorial Hospital for 35 years. After retiring, Ray moved to Largo, Florida in 2021 from Hopewell Junction, New York.

Ray served in the Army and later in the American Legion Post 506, twice as a Commander and as the County Commander in West Chester, New York. He then transferred to Post 119 in Largo, Florida and served as Chaplin. Ray was a Catholic.

Raymond is survived by his loving companion of 19 years, Rhonda; son Richard Malcomb Cook, Albany, New York; six sisters: Donna Marie [Pat, deceased] Bryne, Kathleen [Larry, deceased] Cooke & partner Gary, and Maranne [Fred] Leppig, all of East Durham, New York; Gail Ann [Robert, deceased] Murry, Morehead City, North Carolina; Barbara Ann [Robert] Walenta, Greenville, New York; Carol Ann [Pat] Whelan, Rivervale, New Jersey; brother George Peter [Cathy] Cook, East Durham New York; and many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his beloved son Raymond and his parents, Raymond & Cecile Cook.
