Raymond Inell Davis, age 92, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
Raymond Inell Davis was born October 21, 1929 in Savannah, Georgia, to John Ulmer Davis and Amy Lee Cliffton. From the age of six, he lived at the Bethesda Home for boys with his two brothers. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Navy. He proudly served durning the Korean War, receiving numerous medals. He was employed at Savannah Electric and Power Company for over 36 years. Raymond was a member of Shellman Bluff Baptist Church. He served God in love and ministry to others. He volunteered with Georgia Baptists using his plumbing, electrical, and construction skills in church building projects. He led volunteers in the World Changers construction ministry and provided assistance in Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief efforts. In all these activities, his goal was to share the love of Jesus Christ with others.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Clifton L. Davis, and Gettys U. Davis; and his daughter, Ramona Anders.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 57 years, Earline Davis; sons, Raymond (Donna) of Savannah, Stephen (Beth) of Winter Park, Florida; daughters, Connie Moore (Jack), Elinor Morris (Michael), and Jennifer Smith, all of Savannah. He is also survived by his grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. A funeral service will take place directly after visitation. A burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404.

Earline, I am so sorry I did not know of Raymond's passing. He was such a special friend and had lost contact because of his health.

You both were such a help to us personally and on our house.
