Raymond T. Dunne, 70, a resident of Montogomery Subacute and Respiratory Center in Plymouth Meeting, died on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Born on February 11, 1955 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Gloria A. (Gitch) Dunne. At three months old, Raymond was diagnosed with spinal meningitis leaving him permanently disabled and dependent on his familly. When he grew and his needs became more, Ray became a resident at Schnackenberg Home in Damascus. Over the years, he moved from White Haven Center, White Haven, PA, Allied Services in Scranton, PA and most recently to Montgomery Subacute and Respiratory Center in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Wherever Ray went, he quickly won the hearts of those around him.

Ray's likes were music and spending time outside in the sunshine with his brother.

Ray is survived by his brother, Gerard S. Dunne of Honesdale and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Gitch and paternal grandmother, Isabelle Dunne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 18th at St. Mary Magdlen Church in Honesdale at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Honesdale. Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Thursday, 4 to 6.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
