Raymond Gaddis Gill, of Florence, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 am with the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am. Mr. Gill will be laid to rest in Dennis Cemetery in Lake following the service.
Mr. Gill was born October 26, 1955, in Mendenhall, Mississippi, to Louiel Gill and Hazel Barlow Gill. He grew up in Puckett, Mississippi, and graduated from Puckett High School. He worked in maintenance for Rankin County School District from 1996 until his retirement in 2021. He was a Mason, and he enjoyed yard work, gardening, and New Orleans Saints football. He adored his many beloved dogs, all named Peanut.
Mr. Gill is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Gill; sons, Dale Young (Melinda) and Casey Young (Regina); grandsons, Blain Young and Nickolas Young; and a sister, Brenda Howard (Billy).
