Raymond Allen Glaspell Sr.

Raymond Allen Glaspell, Sr., 69, of Bridgeport, WV passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born on August 19, 1956, the son of the late Silas and Joan (Holley) Glaspell.

Raymond was a graduate of Fairmont Senior and after graduation received his bachelor's degree in business from Fairmont State University. Raymond was a retired coal miner with 44 years of service. He worked for Martinka Mines and retired from Federal #2. Raymond loved Disney, coal mining and most of all his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his ex-wife and caretaker, Dottie Jenkins; three children, Raymond Glaspell, Jr and Amanda, Crystal Lipscomb and her husband Franklin, Tasha Scheuvront and her husband Jeremiah, Sr.; nine grandchildren, Kameron Scheuvront, Brayden Scheuvront, Jeremiah Scheuvront, Jr., Franklin Koda Lipscomb, Jocee Jones, Gabrielle Glaspell, Kaiya Lipscomb, Casey Lipscomb and Isabella Glaspell; four great grandchildren, Waylon Jones, Wrynlee Jones, Jave Lipscomb and Mava Lipscomb; one brother Silas Glaspell, Jr; five sisters, Donna Vied, Peggy Jo Prince, Rebecca Campbell, Marla Gray, Jody Hayhurst and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law Barbara Jenkins.

Family and friends may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Randy Smith presiding. Interment will follow at the Clermont Cemetery.
