Raymond Gutierrez of Lubbock passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 48. Raymond was born on November 16, 1976, in Brownfield, Texas, to Juan and Petitra (Zapata) Gutierrez, Sr. He spent his life as a devoted Son, Grandpa, brother and uncle, and his work as a Semi-Truck part distributor, retiring in 2021 after many years of service.
Raymond will be remembered not only for his professional dedication but also for his vibrant spirit and zest for life. He cherished the great outdoors, often finding joy in fishing and camping. A loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech University, he created lasting memories cheering for his favorite teams, sharing laughter and excitement with loved ones.
Raymond is survived by his son Isiah Gutierrez of Canyon Lake, Texas, mother, Petrita Zapata Gutierrez of Lubbock, Texas; siblings, David Zapata, Juan Vibian Gutierrez, Jr., Ermalinda Puga, and Jose A. Gutierrez, all of Lubbock, Texas; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, father, Juan Vibian Gutierrez, Sr., his uncle, Luis Gutierrez, and aunt, Angie Sanchez.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway in Lubbock. Services will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Venue on Broadway
