Wichmann Funeral Home - FargoRaymond “Ray” Edward Harvey, Sr, age 90 of Kaukauna, WI joined his heavenly kingdom on November 21, 2025. He was born to Clarence and Nettie (Day) Harvey on June 28, 1935. After some time in high school, he went right into railroad work in his late teens and worked for the railway his entire life, retiring as an engineer. Ray met his first true love, Eileen Kupczyk, and they were married in August of 1955. Together, they raised 5 children before her passing in March of 2001. He later found love again with Mary Fritz-Wulterkens and they combined their families in 2003.
Ray was a good man who loved his family and always made time for his friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting whenever he had the chance. He also spent a lot of time on the golf course or driving range, either perfecting his technique or grabbing a quick brunch with Eileen. Ray had a love for dancing, especially with Eileen. You could often find Ray at a casino in Northeast Wisconsin, trying his luck at the machines. On many mornings, he enjoyed having breakfast with his friends at Sweetberry’s (AKA Landreman’s) or “the culture club”. Additionally, on many evenings, you could find him at Hollanders, enjoying a cold beer and a good meal. More than anything, though, Ray loved his family and cherished every moment he could spend with the people he helped to raise.
Ray will be deeply missed by his children, Kay (Dennis) Van Eperen, Patti (Dennis) Groom, Tim Harvey, and Randy (Debbi) Harvey; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Harvey; his grandchildren, Dana (Chad) Lorrigan, Jennifer (Jason) Verbeten, Leah (Jake) Barr, Craig (Samantha) Harvey, Jason (Denise) Van Eperen, Amy (Terence) Fayne, Shannon (Eric) Rusch, Mandy (Jason) Anderson, Jeff Harvey (S.O. Melanie), Kyle (Abbey) Harvey, Sara VanCuyk, Jessica (Nate) Negri, Ryan Harvey (S.O. Bitzer), and Lauren Harvey; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Bernice Hudson; his brother, Marvin (Bonnie) Harvey; and his brother-in-law, Darryl Valincourt. He is also survived by Mary’s children, Michael Wulterkens, Amy Fritz, Susan (Joseph) Zwiers, Daniel (Dawn) Fritz; his step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Ryan) Moore, Velma (Timothy) Fritz, Brooke Lynn (Craig) Torrance, Nicholas Cazzola, Christina (Shuma) Kuwamoto, Chad (Becky) Rausch, Amanda Peterson, Margie Peterson, Natalie Peterson, Madeline Zwiers, Quentin Zwiers, Deanna Van Thiel; 17 step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Ray is preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen; his second wife, Mary; his parents, Clarence and Nettie Harvey; his son, Raymond Jr; Tim's fiancé Colleen Coffy; his stepson, Steve Wulterkens, Steve Fritz, and Dave Fritz; his step-grandson, Corey Fritz; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Clara Kupczyk; his siblings, Chester (Jane) Harvey, Floyd (Delores) Harvey, Lester (Gayle) Harvey, Leland (Sharon) Harvey, and Alice Valincourt; Eileen’s siblings and Mary’s siblings; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends he’ll be happy to catch up with.
A memorial visitation will be held for Ray from 9:30 – 11:30 AM on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St, Kaukauna, WI 54130 with Mass to follow at 11:30 AM. Ray will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI in the Spring of 2026.
