It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ramon Brizeno Huerta; he was also a brother, uncle, grandpa, cousin, and friend. He left this world peacefully on October 30th, 2025, surrounded with the love of his family and friends.
On September 2nd, 1955, Agapito and Erlinda Huetra were blessed with Ramon; whom many of us knew by Mon in Artesia NM. Mon was given his blessings of Martin Huerta, Christina Huerta, Ray Huerta, Anna Rose Huerta, as well as, Kathryn Elizabeth Huerta.
Mon was the grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He has numerous amounts of cousins nieces and nephews. He spent his time fishing, working on his vehicles and picking pecans. He most enjoyed time with his grandchildren. It brought him big smiles and pride. He was a man of his word and always played a great tune off his harmonica. His children have a love for rhythm and blues because of his love for that music. Mon had a large porcelain clown collection and would show them off to you if you gave him time.
Mon met Lisa B. Sellars in 2013 , and kept a loving home life until he left this earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Johnny B Huerta, Roy Huerta and Robert Huerta and sisters Sara Huerta and Rose Salas, as well as, a granddaughter Honesty LaRae Ortega Segura
He is survived by his sons Martin Huerta and Ray Huerta. Daughters Christine , Kathryn and Anna Rose Huerta. Grandchildren Denico Renee Ortega, Danielle Rae Huerta, Martin Enrique Huerta, Alexas Ann Luna, Anthony Aurelio Padilla, Adrianna Aaliyah Padilla, Angelo Padilla, Anoele Albert Padilla, Honesty Larae Segura, Leyah Marie Perez, Ray Segura, Jr, Kristopher Robert Segura, Ramon Robert Huerta, Raeanna Maryjane Perez, Tekenzie Umia Campbell, Montanna Campbell, Vincent Alexander Johnson. Sisters Hopie Huerta, Francis Perez and Nancy Franco. Brother Christopher Huerta, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for Mon are Richard Montano, Celeste Baeza, Lee Thomas, Chawnee Roark, Natasha Atkinson, Alfredo Ochoa, Frank Porter.
Honorary Pallbearers are Martin Enrique Huerta, Christina Huerta, Lexi Luna, Shabriel Huerta, and Felicia Jesus Rincon.
Mon kabron was bad to the bone, get down like James Brown! You better recognize!!!
