Raymond Arthur Jackson passed away on July 21, 2025 at the Brookdale Senior Living in Colorado Springs, CO. Ray was born on January 7, 1948 to Arthur and Faye Uplinger Jackson in Sacramento, CA. When he was one year old the family moved to Almena, KS. He attended Almena Elementary and graduated from Almena High School in 1966. He then attended and graduated from college in Pittsburg, KS. Ray later joined the U.S Navy and served 6 years during the war in Viet Nam. After that he moved to Colorado Springs, CO and worked for NCR for 22 years. He and his friends were old car enthusiasts. Ray was most proud of his 1928 Model A and drove it in the Almena Celebration parade and on several trips. He enjoyed coming back to his hometown and seeing family and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Faye Jackson, stepmother, Wanda Jackson, and a nephew Michael James Walker. He is survived by his sisters, Helen Jackson Norris of Edison, NE and Karen Jackson Walker of Enid, OK; nephews: Jeff and wife Tammy Hillebrand of Edison, NE, Rodney and wife Tracie Walker of Hennessey, OK, Shawn and wife Julie Walker of Dover, OK, and a niece, Kim Norris McMurtry and husband Joe of Bella Vista, AK.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Almena on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10:30 am. Arrangements by: Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home, 215 W. Main St., Norton, KS 67654. Condolences may be left at www.plumergobber.com
