Raymond Jones

Raymond Jones of Acton, MA passed on 2/17/2025 at the age of 91. Ray was predeceased by his wife Patricia Jones of 55 years in 2012. He is survived by his children, Jenny Podgorski and husband Steve Podgorski, Maureen Krinsky and her husband Jud Krinsky, Laura Plunkett and her husband Bobby Adams, Julie Brillard, Susie Jones and Steve Jones. He had nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren - Jesse Krinsky, Dillon Plunkett, Brian Krinsky, Samantha Plunkett, Jordan Krinsky, Isa Brillard, Ayden Brillard, Kelly Podgorski, Erin Podgorski and his great-grands Olivia Brillard and Malcolm Krinsky.
Ray was the oldest of three, survived by his sisters Mickey Norton, Pat Turner and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was born and raised in NYC, spent 4 years in the Navy, lived briefly in NJ and spent most of his life in Acton. Ray ended his career as a Financial Planner for Ameriprise. He loved his family deeply and he was always there when anyone needed him. Ray became a runner later in life and ran regularly with his group and also worked on his house and yard. He visited extended family up and down the east coast during his annual trip to Florida.
There will be a vitiation held on Saturday 2/22/25 between 1 and 4 at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rt 111), Acton, MA 01720. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ray's name to Household Goods of Acton, MA https://www.householdgoods.org/
