Raymond E Keen Sr
January 1, 1941 – May 7, 2022
Raymond E. Keen, Sr. of Camp Hill, Alabama passed away on May 7, 2022 at the age of 81.
Raymond was born in Tampa, Fl on January 1, 1941 to the late, Mary D. Broadway and Percy F. Keen. He is also preceded in death by his sons, Raymond E. Keen Jr. and Michael E. Keen; and great-grandson, Andrew Osteen.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara J Keen; children, Dennis Keen (Valerie), Deborah Keen (Joseph Rosado), Daryl Keen (Jamie); grandchildren, Stormy Keen, Felicia Keen, Kimberly Keen, Robert Mollo, Joseph Mollo, and Austin Keen; and great-grandson Riley Peters.
Raymond dedicated his life to his beloved soulmate of 62 years and the raising of their five children in Fort Myers, Fl. After raising their children, he loved spending time and making memories with their grandchildren. He was an incredibly loyal and hardworking husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Raymond was a genuine people person and never met a stranger. He enjoyed Westerns, fishing, socializing and hosting meals with family and friends. Fish-fry's were his favorite. He was a faithful member of First Assembly of God in Dadeville.
Raymond was very proud of his involvement in building projects which included one of the NASA buildings in Cape Canaveral. In his retirement years, he moved from Fort Myers to Camp Hill, Al with his wife. He said frequently, "We love it here", as was evident in the way he spoke of his retirement life on their beautiful property.
Raymond and Barbara hosted their sons and friends for many hunting seasons. They enjoyed those evenings sharing meals and fellowship. Raymond spent several years working at the Tallapoosa Girls Ranch in maintenance projects and fundraising events.
His family is grateful to have had his presence, wisdom and wit for so many years. In lieu of flowers, Raymond wished for donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Michael E Keen.
Visitation for Raymond will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in the parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 1 to 1:50 p.m. CT. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. CT in the chapel of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens in Camp Hill, Alabama.
