Mr. Raymond “Doug” Douglas LeCompte III, 42 of Ossineke, Michigan left this world much too soon on July 3, 2024. He was born in Alpena, Michigan on September 13, 1981 to Raymond and Judith (Ramsey) LeCompte Jr. He served his country proudly in the United States Army serving in Iraq. Doug worked as a distributor for the Detroit Newspaper. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed craftsmanship and woodworking. Doug had a deep love for the Lord and his family. He was a friend to everyone he met. He gave selflessly of himself and his talents. He was an incredible son, brother, uncle and friend who will be forever missed.

 He is survived by his children, Malachi LeCompte of Ossineke; Jade LeCompte of Sault Ste. Marie; mother, Judith LeCompte of Ossineke; siblings, Deborah Funk of Quartz Site, Arizona; Tammie (James) Nemeth of Gaylord; Jacquelynn (John) Ryan of Wolverine; nieces and nephews, Andrew Funk, Alyssa Goebel, Abigail Funk, Joshua (Sarra) Alexander, Brianne Alexander, Samantha Sami, Eric Sami Jr, and Caleb Sami. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond LeCompte Jr; and grandparents, Raymond (Francis) LeCompte Sr. 

 Funeral services for Doug will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the First Baptist Church, Lewiston; Pastor Tony Petronico officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until time of service with a luncheon following the funeral.
