Raymond "Chipmunk" Massey

VIENNA - Raymond "Chipmunk" Massey, age 68, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in Vienna, Georgia. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Sunnyside Cemetery.

"Chipmunk" was born in Cordele, Georgia, to the late Willie Jackson Massey and the late Margaret Louise McDaniel Massey. He was also predeceased by a sister, Barbara Nell Massey. "Chipmunk" cherished spending time in the outdoors-hunting, fishing, and camping-but his greatest joy and pride was always his children, grandchildren, and family. He owned and operated Massey's Muffler and Auto Services, where he dedicated himself to honest, hard work.

He is survived by the love of his life, Dawn Nipper of Vienna, Ga.; his children: Brandon Massey and his wife Sara of Vienna, Ga., Benjamin Massey and his wife Caroline of Warner Robins, Ga., Bubba Nipper and his wife Sabrina of Cordele, Ga., Tara Ward of Cordele, Ga., and Lacey Diem and her husband Dustin of Ellaville, Ga.; his sisters: Patricia Massey Blanchard and her husband Anthony, Diane M. Hough, and Mary Ethel Massey all of Cordele, Ga.; and his grandchildren: Ava Massey, Maddox Massey, Khloe Little, Dawson Diem, Carson Nipper, Cohen Nipper, Joby Ward, Jax Hood, and Jase Hood.
