Raymond J. "Ray" McHugh

Raymond J. "Ray" McHugh age 72, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sheryl M. (Anderson) McHugh with whom he enjoyed 43 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on April 3, 1953, and was the son of Claudia (Cronier) Dalrymple and the late Raymond McHugh.
Ray grew up in Lexington MA went to Lexington public schools until he enlisted in the US Navy, he served in the Vietnam and Korean wars on the USS Midway and the USS America. Ray also had a love for riding and working on Harley Davidsons, he loved taking long rides through any country road with his loving wife. He had 11 grandchildren that put the biggest smile on his face, he spent countless hours with.
In addition to his loving wife, Ray is survived by his children, Kimberley Bradley and husband Jamie of Arlington, MA, Michelle Solazzi and husband John of Dracut, MA, Raymond McHugh Jr. and partner Erin of Lowell, MA, and Casey McHugh and partner Shane of Nashua, NH ; his grandchildren, James, Erin Kylie, Sean, Anthony, Haylee, Shane, Jayvien, Jaidalise, Savannah, and Raymond lll.; he leaves behind his mother Claudia and Sisters Carol, Mary and Nancy and their children. Ray was very proud of his oldest nephew Rob Couturier and his artwork that proudly displayed on his body. He also leaves behind plenty of friends and family.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 12:30 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately.
