Raymond A. Morgan December 28, 1923 – August 1, 2025

Raymond Morgan, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025. He was 101 years of age.

Born on December 28, 1923, in Jersey City, Ray's life was defined by devotion - to his faith, his family, and his country. He attended Catholic University, where his commitment to Christian values deepened, shaping a life of purpose and integrity. A proud World War II veteran, Ray served his country with honor before beginning a decades-long career as an insurance agent with Allstate.

Ray was the devoted husband of the late Elizabeth Sanderson Morgan, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Donald, and his grandson, Raymond Jr. III. He was a proud and loving father to Nancy (Gene) Watson of Idaho Falls, ID; Janice (Dana) Anderson of Happy Valley, OR; Raymond Jr. of Southampton, NJ; Beth Ann (Eric) Peterson of Medford, NJ; Kevin (Angela) Morgan of Medford, NJ; and Scott (Cathie) Morgan of Haddonfield, NJ.

"Poppy" found immense joy in his 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, whose lives were deeply enriched by his presence.

Ray embraced life with remarkable energy and spirit. He took up skiing at the age of 50, was an avid golfer, a sport he enjoyed until 95. Later in life he became a dedicated gym rat which he enjoyed into his 101st year. His zest for life inspired those around him to live fully, with intention and joy.

Above all, Ray had unwavering faith, a deep love for his family and quiet generosity. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the example he set for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, August 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Mathis Funeral Home in Medford, NJ. Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Lakes,40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8th.

He will be dearly missed and forever cherished by those who knew him.
