Raymond A Niemi ObituaryCrystal Falls – Raymond A. Niemi, 90, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born on April 11, 1934, in Crystal Falls, Mich., to the late Toivo and Elizabeth (Eckola) Niemi.
He married Betty Ann Tamminen on August 18, 1956. He was a member of United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls, Mich. He enjoyed old cars, golfing, and traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Betty Ann Niemi; sons, Raymond (Nancy) Niemi, Jr., Dean (Teresa) Niemi, and Craig (Mary Fende) Niemi; daughter, Diane (Ken) Johnson; brother, Richard "Dick" (Marcie) Niemi; seven grandchildren, Chelsea (Andy), Dean, Jr. (Andrea), Nicole (Lauren), Matthew (Christin), Rick (Sarah), Jim (Tara), and Brad; and eight great-grandchildren, Ava, Evan, Westin, Blaise, Cayden, Coltyn, Claire, and Eleanor.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 27, 2024, at United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls, Mich. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., at the Church with Pastor D J Rasner officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson for the excellent care and concern provided to their father.
