Raymond Pearson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care - Indianapolis on Feb. 3, 2026.
Raymond Pearson was born October 5, 1950. He passed from this earth on January 1, 2026, at the age of 75.

Described as a man who never knew a stranger. A man people at Kroger loved so much that when he picked up meds, they came out to give him a hug. He was described as a prodigy…very intelligent. And Joann said of her husband, Raymond Pearson…he loved me. He was my mate.

Ray worked in property/casualty insurance, which included coverage for airplanes and trucking. He retired from his own insurance business which was a niche business writing policies for tattoo parlors. Ray enjoyed motorcycles, both riding and tinkering with them over the years. Ray and Joann were together for 35 plus years. Their relationship survived many challenges, including Ray's health journey.

Ray was known as a very responsible person and was very well respected. Joann described him as generous, husband, father and caring human being. Ray volunteered for many organizations over the years.

Ray is survived by his wife, Joann, and his children from a previous marriage, Carrie and Derek.
