Stella Combs Obituary
Stella dedicated much of her professional life to helping others. An active member of her community in Versailles, Kentucky, Stella participated in the Woodford County Homemakers and enjoyed many hours with friends in several local bridge groups. She worked as an X-ray technician at Shriners Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, and later served with the U.S. Bureau of the Census.
Her greatest joy was her family. Stella is survived by her daughter Dawn Combs and her children Axel and Bradley; her son Brad (Vivian) Combs and their children Donald Leo and Chloe; as well as two aunts, Nancy Nickell of Jackson, Kentucky, and Bea Mitchell of Walled Lake, Michigan. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother above all else.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carter Leo Combs, parents, James and Marie Webb, as well as her siblings Jimmy Webb, Louis Mills, and Rose Mary Bybee.
Stella's memory will live on through the lives she touched with warmth and devotion. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.

Stella, you healed things in me when I was little that I no knowledge of until I was an adult. You loved me without conditions and always accepted me just as I was. I will always cherish all the memories I have with you and all the love you gave me. Thank you for treating me just like a grandchild. Leo has been waiting. Love you lots Great Aunt Stella!
