Deacon Raymond "Ray" Perham

Deacon Raymond "Ray" Perham, 84, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service.
Ray worked at Michelin for 20 years as Corporate Metrologist. He finished his career with Michelin at MARC Research and Development, where he proudly worked along with his son Kevin until 2015, when Kevin lost his battle with cancer.
After retiring, he was ordained a Permanent Deacon at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
Ray is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Underwood Perham; a daughter, Karen Delene Perham; a son, Keith Edward Perham and fiancée Jenny; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Charles Bailey, Jr.; sister-in- law, Merlene Underwood Boyd; sister-in-law, Carol Perham; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Perham; son, Kevin Arthur Perham; sister, Barbara Gilded Perham; and brother, William Perham.
A vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church followed by a private family inurnment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary School, 2 James Dr, Greenville, SC 29605.
