Ray Phillips, age 75 of Casper, Wyoming left us on Monday February 13th at 4:51am. Ray was Born in Cheyenne Wyoming to Margaret and Dan Phillips on February 13th 1948. He graduated from Natrona County High school in 1966. Straight out of highschool he enlisted in the army. He served for 3 years and did a tour in Germany and Vietnam. Ray then joined the plumber and pipefitter union and got his apprenticeship. He was with the union for over 50 years. He did a lot of traveling in this line of work but that didn’t keep him from wanting to get out and have fun in his spare time. Ray loved to spend his summers in the mountains with his family around the fires or looking for bears. He also loved to garden, he had quite the green thumb. When the weather started getting cold he liked to head to the beach with his wife Eileen and dig his feet in the sand and listen to the waves wash up on the shore.
Ray was the most amazing man. He was so full of love for everyone he met. He would pick up strangers on the side of the road, he would do anything for someone in need. Anyone who got to meet Ray was blessed.
Ray is survived by his wife Eileen, Daughter Nina, Daughter Shawna, Son Aaron, Granddaughter Makenzie, Grandson Ray, Grandson Aaron, Granddaughter Nikki, Grandson Jason.
Funeral Service will be held at Bustards on Fridays the 17th at 2pm with Pastor Bryan Elliott from First Christian Church officiating. The reception will also be held at Bustards as well after the reception.
