Raymond Leslie Rockefeller, 80
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family shares the passing of Raymond L. Rockefeller, who left them too soon on July 5, 2024. A resident of Okeechobee, Florida for the past 15 years, he was born in Hudson, New York. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he served during the Vietnam War.
He loved woodworking, reading United States history books, completing puzzles, and family game time. He also loved spending time with family, traveling, and enjoying a glass of wine in the Georgia mountains.
He was a member of the VFW and worked at Walgreens for many years.
Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Penny Lee Rockefeller.
He is survived by his three daughters, Tammy Rockefeller, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Brenda Byk (Braden), of Stuart, Florida, and Marianne Gosman (Ken), of Okeechobee, Florida; and four grandchildren, Jon Mendiguren, Jared Mendiguren, Meghan Scott, and Kyle Gosman.
His absence will forever leave a void in his family's hearts, but they find comfort by the fact he is back in the arms of his loving wife. Rest in peace.
