Dear Sandra,
We were so sad to hear of Dr. Rosenblum's passing. What a fantastic man who could light up a room from a mile away. Thank you for sharing him with us. You are in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

Dear Rosenblum family,
I was very saddened to learn of Dr. Rosenblum's passing last week. It is no secret that my parents have been decades-long friends with the Rosenblum family. One of my long-lasting memories of going to the "downtown shul" on occasion was that my father, brother and I sat right in front of Dr. Rosenblum, at his "aisle seat." I can vividly remember his kittizing non-stop from the moment he arrived...always with a smile, always the hearty laugh.
In more recent years on visits home, I am glad that I was able to keep in touch with Dr. Rosenblum at the Wednesday businessmen's luncheon. While in failing physical health, his sharp wit was always there and the fact that he could take a light-hearted view of things despite very real difficulties bespoke his infectious, positive outlook on everything in general.
May his memory be for a blessing and may you know of no more such sorrow.

To the Rosenblum Family,

Dr. Rosenblum was my Dr. when I was very young. His wonderful sense of humor and kindness made those "scary things" as child a lot less scary. He will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time. Find comfort in your memories and in the love of GOD, who is the source of comfort and peace.

As an unofficial member of the family,I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Uncle Raymond for the past almost 51 years. I am left with indelible images and sounds - whether it was booming voice, raucous laugh, his unabridged humor, his assortment of kidney stone collages or kidney stone cufflinks, his varied collection of "pissing boy" ties and unabashed love for his family. Of course, there are other memories as well - having heard the "talk" as part of BBYO - I am here to remind all those who heard it - you cannot get syphilis from a toilet seat, #2 - you did not call the 766-3843 line to reach any of the kids - that was his phone line, #3 - he was very courageous - he actually had the guts to sit between his son Bruce and me wearing a white shirt to a Cub Scout spaghetti dinner - the question was who wearing more red sauce - Bruce, me or Uncle Raymond.

I know we all have many anecdotes to share because Uncle Raymond was larger than life. Uncle Raymond in the words of the Kohanim -'May G-d bless you and guard you. May G-d shine His countenance upon you and be gracious to you. May G-d turn His countenance toward you and grant you peace.'"

Heaven is laughing now that you're up there.
