Raymond C. Spaulding, age 63 of Shiocton, died suddenly on Sunday, September 7, 2025 in Appleton. Ray was born in Shawano on January 29, 1962 the second of three children to the late Ronald and Elaine (Hauschultz) Spaulding. Ray was a free-spirited individual – a cowboy at heart. He enjoyed Western movies, NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. Ray kept horses, but didn't ride much. He considered them friends, as well as pets. For most of his life, Ray drove truck over the road. His job took him to a variety of different places and for long periods of time. Ray enjoyed cards with Dashal and Linda, and an occasional game of bingo.

Left to remember Ray are; the love of his life, Linda Mentzel; children, James (Kristel) Spaulding, Nicole (Chris Steinbring) Spaulding, Wendy (Justin) Kellogg and Sondra (Jacob) Dankert; sister, Melissa (Tim) Gilliam; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hauschultz and 9 grandchildren, as well as other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Zane Hauschultz.

The Funeral Service for Ray will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Seth Dorn officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

A special thank you to Ray's nurse "Rowdy" for his care of Ray and the rest of us.
