Angeline George Spaulding, lovingly known as "Sissy," peacefully passed away at age 65 on Sept. 4, 2025.
Angie would have celebrated her 66th birthday this month on Sept. 26.
Angie was the daughter of the late Clifford Johnson and Angeline Johnson Hughes.
She graduated in 1978 from E.L. Meyers High School and continued her education as a certified nursing assistant, working in various nursing homes in Luzerne County, including providing care to a number of private duty dementia patients.
Angie inspired many by living her life to the fullest regardless of personal illnesses. Sharing her beautiful voice on Paltalk, playing cards and spending time on her computer were only a few of her regular hobbies. Always displaying festive decorations and being the best cook in the family were badges she wore with honor!
If you were a friend or a family member of Angie's, you were blessed with knowing a caring, compassionate woman. She held up many people in prayer and dedicated her life to Jesus Christ.
Angie is survived by sister, Deborah Kalinoski, and husband Bob, along with their daughter, Victoria Mann, and husband Jim; sister, Mable Myers, and her son, Timothy Myers, and his wife Camila; brothers, Robert Hughes and wife, Tara, and their children, Ethan, Dawson and Haley; brother, Patrick Hughes and fiance, Dawn Henderson; children, Anthony and Vanessa; brother, Thomas Hughes. Her dearest friends were Mary Wickham, Judy Jones and cousin, Tammy Kochanski.
A prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Pastor Joseph Kane will be officiating. Memorial calling hours will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

May God´s love embrace your family and bring you peace during this difficult time. Take comfort in knowing that Sissy is now at rest with Him. Though our visits were not often, her warm smile and kind spirit always reminded us of her mother, our dear Sister and Aunt Angie. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." - Matthew 5:4
