Raymond Walker, age 91, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on October 4, 1933, in Hedley, Texas, to Ernest and Berta (Johnson) Walker, Raymond lived a life marked by quiet strength, service, and devotion to those he loved. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, carrying that same steadfast discipline and honor throughout his life.
After his military service, Raymond built a meaningful career as a millwright in power plant construction and maintenance. He was a man of faith and purpose; he enjoyed fellowship as a dedicated member of multiple Masonic Lodges - where his main focus was scholarship fundraising for graduating high school seniors.
Raymond really enjoyed attending auctions, antique sales, and yard sales - always on the lookout for treasures and stories from the past. He cherished time with his family and the legacy they carry forward.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Berta Walker.
He is survived by the love of his life, Uleta (Cohron) Walker, his wife of 69 years. He was a devoted father to his three sons, Randy, Rocky, and Ronney Walker, all of Weatherford, Texas. He leaves behind two adored grandchildren, Devin Walker and Ashley Walker, and two great-grandchildren, Haeden Walker and Ezra Tolly.
Raymond is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Linda Walker of Weatherford, and his brother, David Walker of Arlington, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Raymond’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
