Raymond Wymer

Mr. Raymond Martin Wymer of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 96. He was born on October 13, 1929, in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma, the son of Raney Roscoe and Lucy (Dennis) Wymer.

Mr. Wymer proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His service was a meaningful part of his life, and he carried that sense of duty with him always. After returning home, Mr. Wymer became a farmer for several years.

Mr. Wymer was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for deer and turkey hunting and also loved fishing. Over the years, he harvested over 200 deer across seven different states. Mr. Wymer enjoyed collecting guns and woodworking.

Mr. Wymer is preceded by his wife, Willow Mae; a brother, Joe Wymer; three sisters, Mary Zugenhorn, Lois Ball, and Freda Denlinno; and his parents.

He is survived by his stepson, Rob McFadden, of Jonesboro; his stepdaughter, Carol McFadden, of Jonesboro; and a sister, Lavellas Smith, of Moyock, North Carolina; one niece, Raylene Graves Moyock.

Services for Mr. Wymer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. David Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Balch-Johnston Cemetery.
