Reba Maxine Borovicka

We are sad to announce the passing of our mother, Reba Borovicka, 89, of Republic, MO. Reba was born to Kenneth and Maxine (Testerman) Hild on October 12, 1934, in Cherryvale, KS. She was the first born of five children.
Reba was married to Isaac (Ben) Borovicka on December 10, 1954, in Cherryvale. They were married forty-nine and a half years, until his death on June 30, 2004. She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandma and great grandma. Her delight was her kids and always taking care of them while their dad was on the road. Later on, the grand and great grandkids were even more joy to her life. Her hobbies were garage sales, crocheting, playing games and cards.
Reba is preceded in death by her husband Ben; her parents Kenneth and Maxine Hild; her sister Margaret Bryson; her brothers Kenneth and Don Hild; infant sister Mary Louise Hild; and infant grandson Chase Borovicka.
Reba is survived by her daughter Sherry and husband David Blackwell of Republic; sons Bruce and wife Karen Borovicka of Texas and Brian Borovicka of Springfield; four grandkids, Shannon Slack of Falcon, Joe Borovicka and wife Amanda of Springfield, Tasha Ganson and husband Josh of Billings and Bruce Borovicka Jr and wife Nicole of Texas; seven great grandkids, Rhianna and Keegan Borovicka, Kinsley and Jayce Ganson, Jude Furlong and Aria and Connor Slack; along with a host of many precious nieces, nephews and cousins. Reba had two very special friends in Miami- Georgia Randall and Carolyn Blankenship; Four special friends from Republic Nursing and Rehabilitation- Delores, Caroline, Louise, and Beverly.
A Special thanks to Republic Nursing and Rehab, Preferred Hospice, Chaplain Michael and the staff and many, many nurses that all loved her as family.
Visitation for Reba will be October 30, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Meadors Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
