Mrs. Reba Yvonne Jacobs

Mrs. Reba Yvonne Jacobs was born February 27, 1954 in Pensacola, Florida to Reverend Douglas (Voncile) Shine, Sr. Reba gave her life to Christ at an early age at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. Reba graduated from Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida in 1972. She also attended Pensacola Junior College.

She dated the love of her life, Elder Wiley J. Jacobs Jr, for 7 years. They married on September 19, 1981. That union created a child, the apple of their eye, Channing Le'Jean Jacobs. They relocated to Lilburn, GA and joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in 1985. Reba was an active member of the Hopewell Gospel Choir and the leader of the Women of Hope for many years.

Reba was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her life was ensuring that Wiley and Channing were loved and cared for. She loved to shop, taking care of her home and traveling around with her loving husband.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Wiley J Jacobs, Jr; her parents, Voncile Shine and Reverend Douglas Shine, Sr; her nephew, Skky Shine. She is survived by her daughter, Channing Jacobs of Lawrenceville, Georgia; sister, Katrina Simmons (Terry) of Pensacola, Florida; brothers, Michael Shine and Douglas Shine, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida.

Ms. Reba Yvonne Jacobs, 71, of Lawrenceville, GA passed on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, 182 Hunter St. NW, Norcross, GA 30071. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 12:00 pm-8:00 pm with family hours from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, at our Gwinnett Chapel 914 Scenic Hwy Lawrenceville, GA 30045. Interment will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1832 Pleasant Hill Rd. Duluth, GA 30096. Services entrusted to Gregory B.
