MORTON – Reba N. Wilson, 93, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of Morton, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at The Inn at Library Way, in Ohio. She was born on June 20, 1931, in Graves County, Kentucky, to A. Biggs and Alta (Frields) Roberts. Reba married Charles Wilson on July 17, 1953, in Nashville, Tennessee. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karla Young and two grandsons, Austin Carter and Zachary Hayes. Surviving are her daughters, Denise (Duane) Carter of Romance, Arkansas and Amy (Jim) Monast of Columbus, Ohio; son-in-law, Steve (Sharon) Young of Jonesboro, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Stephen (Erin) Young, Lindsay (Andy) Cox, Blake Carter, Bobby (Jodi) Carter, Whitney (Robby) Johnson and Jackson Hayes; and 14 great-grandchildren, Emerson Young, Anna, Ava, Casen, Sam and Cora Cox, Cameron and Dawson Carter, Garrett and Madden Carter, Oliver, Owen and Oakley Johnson and Hudson Hayes. Reba taught home economics at Morton High School. She also taught at Washington Middle School in Washington. Reba is a former member of East Peoria Church of Christ and attended the Spring Road Church of Christ in Westerville, Ohio. She liked to sew and enjoyed quilting, embroidering baby quilts for all of the grandkids. In her later years, she loved Bingo and continued playing Rook with some ladies from church. She especially enjoyed visits from the great grandkids. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund, Schults-Lewis Children's Home or a charity of the donor's choice.
