Brown Funeral Home & Cremations - Broken ArrowRebbecca Rae Kincaid, affectionately known as Becky to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on January 18, 1952, in Hillsboro, OH. Becky's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her throughout her 73 years.
Becky's journey began as the cherished daughter of her late parents, Charles Tennyson and Jessie Lee (Day) Kreisher, whose guidance and love shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She carried their legacy forward with grace and dedication, touching many lives along the way. Becky's educational pursuits led her to Oklahoma University, where she graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Her passion for helping others propelled her to further her studies at Northeastern State University, where she earned a Master's degree in Counseling.
Professionally, Becky was a respected lifelong educator of almost 40 years, serving in Noble, OK, Sulphur, LA, and finally at Union Public Schools in Tulsa, OK. Becky taught many students in science, computer literacy, and her favorite area being the gifted program. She eventually found her true calling and served as a counselor for the last 16 years of her career. She provided guidance and support to countless students, helping them navigate the complexities of life with empathy and wisdom. Her colleagues and students alike will remember her for her unwavering commitment to their well-being.
Becky's personal life was filled with joy and companionship when she married the love of her life, John Kincaid, on June 17, 2006. Together, they built a life in Broken Arrow, OK. Becky's intellectual curiosity was often channeled into her love for crossword puzzles, a hobby in which she excelled and found great pleasure.
Her melodious voice found a home with the Tulsa Metro Sound, where she was an active member and a Sweet Adeline. Singing brought Becky immense happiness, and she cherished the camaraderie and harmony she shared with her fellow chorus members.
Becky's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, John Kincaid of Broken Arrow, OK; her son, Scott Pollard and his wife, Allison of Coweta, OK; her grandsons, Anthony and Andrew Pollard; her sister, Vivian Lester of Muskogee, OK; her brother, Bill Sowders and his partner, Pete Matthews of Cambridge, MA; her nieces, Ashley Lester, Jesse Lester, Valerie Collins, and Connie Grant along with her husband, Clay; her nephews Kenny Finney, and David Finney along with his wife Becky, and a host of other relatives who will continue to honor her memory.
Her legacy of love, learning, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation for Becky will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, with a service to celebrate her life beginning at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. She will be laid to rest at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK.
