Rebecca Taylor Donahue

It is with profound sadness that the family of Rebecca (Becky) Taylor Donahue of Atlanta, GA and Destin, FL announces her passing on September 28, 2025 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. She was 63 years old.

Becky was born April 12, 1962 to David Morris Taylor and Barbara Harvey Taylor in Bryn Mawr, PA. She spent most of her childhood in Normal, IL before moving to Florida where she graduated from Orange Park High School in 1980. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in 1984. She married William F. (Bill) Donahue on May 16, 1987 in Atlanta and together they embarked on a journey that led to stops in Wilmington, DE, Lancaster, PA, Aurora, IL, Warwick, NY, and Collierville, TN. In 2003 they returned to the Atlanta suburbs, living in Johns Creek initially before moving for the final time to Brookhaven fifteen years ago.

She was preceded in death by both parents. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Brenden D. Donahue, his wife Kayla (Preston), and their daughters Taylor and Mallory; Bryan M. Donahue and his fiancée Rachel Seiler; and Brent W. Donahue. She is also survived by brothers David M Taylor II and his wife Kathy (Day), and Alan R. Taylor as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

While Becky was fond of beach life in Destin, spending time with her large circle of friends, and hosting family dinners, her unquestioned passion was being a mother and grandmother. Her three boys meant the world to her, and she was very active in their lives until her passing. Not a day went by when they didn't call or exchange text messages to make sure she was caught up with everything going on in their lives. Having no sisters or daughters, the arrival of Taylor and Mallory in the last four years was a special blessing to Becky.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven, GA on October 17, 2025 at 11:30am, followed by a reception at the church. The family will receive friends and visitors beginning at 10:30am.
