Rebecca (Becky) Lyn (Carter) Keopke, 54, of Basehor, Kansas passed away August 1, 2025, at home. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8 followed by a service at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N 6th Street, Kansas City, KS 66101.

Becky was born December 17, 1970, the daughter of Sandra Sue (McCauley) Simons and Larry Joe Carter, in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from F.L. Schlagle High School, Becky married her high school sweetheart, Ron Keopke. They married on June 13, 1989 and were married for 36 years. From that union they had 3 children. In 1998, she was employed at Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office. After, she was employed by Kansas University Physicians Inc. Becky was a ginormous supporter of the local sports and music programs. She enjoyed crafts, reading, gardening, and photography in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frederick Ernest McCauley and Lorene Mavel (Weaver) McCauley. She is survived by her husband Ron and their 3 children, son, Joshua Michael Keopke and wife Rachel Keopke; daughter Amanda Heather (Keopke) Brown and husband Jacob Brown; and daughter Katelynn Anastesia Keopke; five grandchildren, Peyton Aubrey Keopke, Landon Carter Keopke, Elizabeth Marie Brown, Ezra Logan Brown, and Ellie Mae Brown; mother, Sandy Simons; father, Larry Carter; half-sister, Stephanie Magill; brother-in-law Christopher Keopke; sister-in-law Ami Keopke and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
