Rebecca A. Lewis, 84, died at her home in Boothbay on April1, 2025. Rebecca was born September 14, 1940 in Boothbay Harbor to Roy Nelson and Thelma (Davis) Nelson. Rebecca grew up in East Boothbay and attended local schools.
Rebecca worked as a C.N.A. at St. Andrews Hospital in the nursery. She worked for a brief time at CHANS in Brunswick as a Home Health Nurse. She later worked as a cleaning lady at the Cod Cove Inn and Short Hills Campground.
She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, her weekly Walmart visits, and never missed stopping at a Dunkin Doughnuts for coffee. She was a true connoisseur of coffee. She was well known for being kind-hearted and feisty. She was a lover of animals.
She was predeceased by her sons, Richard B. Johnson and Basil "Cap" Johnson; sister, Barbara Pinkham, and brother, Roy Nelson
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Edgar Lewis of Boothbay
Daughters, Tamara Seekins of Woolwich Lisa Campbell and her husband George of Boothbay
Sons, Daniel Johnson of St. Augustine, FL Andy Johnson of Boothbay
Sister, Kathy McCullough of Boothbay
Eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren
There will not be any public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.hallfuneralhomes.com
