Rebecca Locke, age 85 of Huntland, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Limestone County, Alabama on May 26, 1940, to the late Edward and Rena (Fanning) Carlisle. Rebecca was a loving and devoted homemaker whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home, filling it with the aroma of freshly baked treats and the beauty of her handcrafted sewing and crochet projects. Her talents and creativity brought comfort and happiness to her family and friends alike. A passionate reader, Rebecca, cherished quiet moments with a good book, always eager to learn and share stories. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love made her the heart of our family, and her gentle guidance will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Malcom Locke; brother, Paul Carlisle. Rebecca is survived by her children, Karen Booton of Huntland, Phillip (Ruth Ann) Locke of Tullahoma, Brett (Brenda) Locke of Huntland, Christopher Locke of Huntland; grandchildren, Jeffery Stephens, Jennifer Stephens, Savannah Locke, Steven (Amanda) Locke, Bradley (Beth) Locke, Bryan (Kimmi) Locke, ten great-grandchildren; beloved four-legged Dachshund Tobey. Visitation will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5pm-8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Macon officiating. Internment will follow at Moore Memorial in Huntland. Bradley Locke, Bryan Locke, Steven Locke, Tyler Locke, Trevor Locke, and Brett Locke to serve as pallbearers.
